Seminyak’s To-Do List For An Exciting Vacation

12 December 2019

From pristine beaches, lush green paddy fields, and hiker’s mountains, to fascinating cultures and food, you will never run out of things to do in Bali. If natural scenery and cultural exploration aren’t your things (which is totally fine, everyone has their own taste!), you should hang out in Seminyak.

One word to describe Seminyak is eccentric. Not only is it a district dotted with boutique hotels and luxurious shopping malls, but there are also plenty of cool spots to hang out with your friends to turn an ordinary vacation into an exciting one!

Surf at Petitenget Beach

surfing in Seminyak

Seminyak is a coastal district, so it’s impossible not to mention anything surfing- related. There’s a reason why we suggest beginners surf at Seminyak’s Petitenget Beach rather than in Kuta, despite it being dubbed a beginner’s paradise. Seminyak’s waves are slightly taller than Kuta’s, which means surfing the white water (broken waves) as a beginner will be much more exciting once you get the hang of belly surfing on a foam longboard. If you choose to learn to surf with an instructor, within an hour, you will master the basics of standing up to surf the white water. For advanced surfers, we give you the stats – high tide is between 10 am to 2 pm with a maximum swell height of 2.5 meters, which will land you on the sandy seabed.

Go to a beach club

If you prefer to have a beach vacation with a little twist, you can visit Mrs Sippy beach club. The Mediterranean-inspired manmade lagoon is home to Bali’s largest saltwater pool which you can dive into from a 5-meter tall diving board. Mrs Sippy is not only a vacation resort, but it is also a restaurant and a few nights a month, a party music venue. Sippy Saturdays are the live event where touring international DJs come to visit to spin some nice beats and tunes you can dance to. You’d get a chance to meet big names like Duke Dumont, Sneaky Sound System, Bag Raiders, Claptone, Pacha Ibiza on Tour, and many more. The vibe in the night is wild, but during the day it attracts a great number of families too. It’s pretty much something for everyone.

Enjoy Balinese coffee

Of course, an “exciting vacation” doesn’t mean you have to expend a lot of energy. Chill out in between your adventures and enjoy some coffee. For that, we recommend Titik Temu Coffee. The concept is simple: a garden, wooden benches, and delicious coffee. Order some warm classical latte in an air-conditioned room, or get yourself ice coffee and churro French toast and sit on couches underneath a coconut tree to enjoy the late afternoon ocean breeze.

Host a family picnic

When it comes to planning picnics, Shooters Bali organizes the picnic for you and provides the food and games – you just need to show up with friends and family. The venue hosts a great variety of games, such as mini-golf, foosball, pool, darts, and ping-pong, and there’s even a giant Jenga to make the stakes more insane. That’s not all. You can relive your childhood by playing classical arcade machines or a Nintendo console. The food menu is, of course, picnic perfect. Pizzas, hot dogs, burgers, fried rice, noodles – just everyone’s favorite comfort foods. For the grown-ups, they have liquor, cider, cocktails, and beer.

All of these exciting venues are reachable by foot or motorbike because they are centrally located in Seminyak. You can also have a centrally located villa as the perfect accommodation for a 1-week-long vacation in Bali. Bvilla’s private pool villas complement your holiday with our exciting packages and awesome deals. To learn more, visit the official homepage of Bvilla.
