As the island of the Gods, Bali is gifted with an array of beautiful landscapes that span the volcanic Mount Agung, the hidden waterfalls in Singaraja and the sublime beaches around the perimeter of the island.
In this article, we’ll highlight some of the best beaches in the Seminyak area that you absolutely must visit on your trip to Bali.
Located on the tip of Jalan Petitenget is the beach itself. Both locals and tourists love this beach due to its easy access, convenient parking and very chill atmosphere. Petitenget Beach is also relatively quieter than the other options on our list. The sunset here is just as beautiful as any other western in Bali. A notable feature of this beach is the large wooden swing that can be spotted by the shore as soon as you enter. Depending on the swells, you can also spot surfers here catching the waves occasionally. Additionally, there are food vendors around the parking area should you want to pick up some food before or after visiting the beach.
Double Six Beach
Double Six is the quintessential beach to visit in Seminyak. It welcomes visitors all around the Seminyak area. The name itself is derived from the Double Six beach club that can be found in the area. This beach is known for its relatively quiet atmosphere and an array of bean bags where you can order drinks and enjoy the pretty sunset. It can get more crowded here than the Petitenget Beach due to its close proximity to hotels and resorts, but overall the panoramic view of the ocean is worthy of your visit.
Batu Belig Beach
This one is perhaps the most tranquil beach in the greater Seminyak area. The sand here is not as bright as the ones in Petitenget or Double Six, but it makes up for it with the silent and cozy atmosphere. This beach is perfect if you want to take your family on a family outing while avoiding the crowds on the other beaches.
For avid surfers, Berawa Beach is the best choice in the greater Seminyak area. It is located towards the northern tip of Seminyak area, bordering Canggu. The waves here are strong, with reefs that anchor the grey-black sands during high tide. If you’re not into surfing you can still enjoy the many bars and restaurants that can be found in the area. You’ll find that this beach has a very prominent surfing scene compared to the rest on this list!
